313 ART PROJECT

313 ART PROJECT has been actively engaged to introduce the novel works of significant domestic and foreign contemporary artists of all media since 2010. Located in the centre of Seoul’s art hub, Do-San Park in Gangnam, 313 ART PROJECT has assisted the respected contemporary artists’ debuts in Korea including Xavier Veilhan, Sophie Calle, Teresita Fernandez, and Tony Oursler, etc. Sophie Calle solo exhibition "Où et Quand ?"(2013), ended in tremendous success attracting more than 4,000 visitors. Related to this exhibition, Korean representing art professionals selected 313 ART PROJECT as the only gallery within other top national institutions and museums, to be among the annual record of ’Top 10 Solo Exhibition of 2013 in Korea’ publicized by Art and Culture magazine. Also the exhibition titled “Across the Pacific Young Artists from LA”(2012) spotlighting the presence of active emerging LA based artists such as Aaron Curry, Analia Saban, Julian Hoeber, Nathan Mabry, and Patrick Hill was highly acclaimed by art critics in Korea. It precisely aim to promote Korean artists of substantial ability including Atta Kim, Chigyun Oh, and Kiwon Park, who was nominated as the “Artist of the Year 2010” in National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. During early next year, 313 ART PROJECT plans to hold a solo exhibition of a young and emerging artist, Lee Wan, who was the winner of SPECTRUM ARTIST AWARD, selected by Leeum, Samsung Museum of Art in May, 2014. For reference, he plans to exhibit at Plateau, Samsung Museum of Art in 2016. In such way, 313 ART PROJECT is committed to presenting artists on an international scale and to firmly establishing their contributions to art history of our time.
